Paul Henderson was the hero for Team Canada, scoring the game winning goals in each of the remaining 3 games to help them win the 1972 Summit Series. Henderson and his linemates, Ron Ellis and Bobby Clarke, were arguably the best trio for Team Canada. Paul finished with 10 points, ranking him 2nd in the series only behind Phil Esposito's 13 points. Paul's performance at the 1972 Summit Series is still talked about today by millions of Canadian hockey fans that watched his historic goal.

Vladislav Aleksandrovich Tretiak is a renown goaltender for the Soviet Union's national ice hockey team and famous for his part in the Summit Series 1972 against Team Canada. Considered to be one of the greatest goaltenders in the history of the sport, Tretiak was voted one of six players to the International Ice Hockey Federation's (IIHF) Centennial All-Star Team in a poll conducted by a group of 56 experts from 16 countries. Vladislav played 482 games for CSKA Moscow in the Soviet league, won 3 Olympic Gold Medals for the Soviet Union, and he is the President of the IIHF.
